It's time for some Election Action
This week, we launched the Election Action Countdown on Facebook and Instagram to highlight small, but critical actions each of us can take each day to win in November.
So far, we've seen a great response, with folks in our movement stepping up to make a difference and make sure we win next month!
In case you missed it, here are the first five things you can do to help right now:
- Join Team Blumenauer's Volunteers for Oregon phone bank to make calls for progressive statewide candidates. Email [email protected] to join us.
- Get trained for text banking with Biden for President. Texting key swing states is one of the best ways to reach voters, especially during the pandemic. Join Team Blumenauer today to get trained on texting outreach.
- Donate to take back the Senate. From legislation on climate justice to gun safety, there are hundreds of critical bills stuck in Mitch McConnell's legislative graveyard. Join Team Blumenauer in helping to flip the Senate by splitting a donation to Swing Left's Senate Fund.
- Double-check your voter registration at vote.org. Once you've done that, share the link with 5 friends or family members and remind them to do the same.
- Send letters to swing voters across the country. Writing letters is a critical way to reach swing voters. Join Indivisible Oregon and Swing Left for a virtual letter-writing event.
Can you spend an hour today to join us in these efforts? This is the most important election of our lives. Your actions and contributions support the work that Earl is doing in Oregon and across the country.
Our team is working with local candidates like Anna Williams for the state legislature and Eddy Morales for mayor of Gresham. We are organizing virtual fundraisers for critical congressional candidates in close races in states like Alaska, Montana, and many others. Success in these races will have huge national implications if the election ends up being decided by the House of Representatives.
