From food to childcare, diapers to health care, these monthly checks will be a critical piece towards ensuring that every child has what they need to grow and thrive.
The impact of these checks, which will start going out on July 15, will be truly transformational. They will literally cut child poverty in half.
On today's Child Tax Credit Awareness Day of Action, I want to make sure you're aware that help is on the way.
But I also need to make sure that you know this: not a single Republican voted to send this money to working families here in Oregon and across the country.
Not. One.
When you hear people say there's no difference between Republicans and Democrats, this is why they're so wrong.
Without Democrats controlling Congress, and without support from a Democratic White House, this investment in our kids and families would not have been possible.
Without our Blue Wave, families struggling through no fault of their own wouldn't be receiving hundreds of dollars a month per child to put food on the table and keep a roof over their heads.
As this help arrives, we won't forget that not a single Republican supported it.
