Onward

While I am pleased with the effort we made in the U.S. House to pass the Build Back Better before the end of the year, a lot of us are extremely disappointed in Senator Joe Manchin's recent declaration that he will not support it.

Even so, this is not the time for us to give up hope, instead it is a time to redouble our efforts. We will keep strategizing on how to deliver for America's working families, combat the climate crisis, and make the wealthy pay their fair share. The stakes are too high for anything less.

This situation highlights why we need to double our efforts in 2022.

There is no question these setbacks cause disappointment and anger within our progressive base and independent voters who want to see the Democratic Party step up and lead.

While these emotions are natural, we must shake off the disappointment and charge ahead.

We cannot afford to give up. There is a long way to go until the 2022 election and so much work to do.

I need your help to drive positive messages of what we have accomplished already and what is still to be done. Help me organize in Oregon and around the country, so we can not only keep our majorities, but create better ones.
