President Biden's clear vision and bold leadership

Last night, President Biden delivered a master class on how a world leader responds to multiple crises happening here and across the globe.

He correctly touted the incredible work his administration has done, and that we have moved through Congress. Successes that had to be fought for at every turn.

He stated how his administration has been fighting to emerge from the crisis phase of COVID and how we have begun the difficult work of returning to a new sense of normal.

He recognized the need to address our growing mental health crisis.

He once again reiterated to the American people the important call to action that we all must take to address the climate crisis.

He laid out our version of how to get to an economy that works for all Americans, not just a section of the population.

He talked about the work we are doing with international allies to stand up to Putin's immoral and illegal invasion of Ukraine.

And he spoke of his decision to nominate Ketanji Brown Jackson, the first Black woman to the Supreme Court.

It is hard to think of another elected President who had to begin his term with so much in crisis at once, with so much at stake, and in such dire circumstances.

And while I freely admit that there have been a few stumbles along the way, he has returned dignity to the office of the President of the United States of America for the world stage.

President Biden has set the direction for a swift economic recovery as we leave the crisis phase of COVID behind and presented a clear vision to protect our democracy.

There is plenty of work ahead. Some of it will be quite difficult. But last night, I was proud to be a Democrat, and more importantly, an American.

Courage,

Earl
